Our client is a leading %100 international chemical company. Turkey is critical business to the growth of the company.

Currently, we are in search of a Business Unit Sales Manager(Istanbul) who will be responsible for the overall products for coatings, inks, adhesives and sealants, textile, and construction chemicals industries’ management from sourcing suppliers to new business development.

This position will be directly reporting to Managing Director in Turkey.

The purpose of the role and the key success factor is to act as a challenging leader for conducting market studies on potential new product opportunities by contacting customers to market demand across Turkey.

Main Responsibilities:

  • You will be a key thought partner to the Turkey Sales Team and be responsible for the entire coatings&inks and construction sales function of the company encompassing managing supplier relations, extending the portfolio, and setting targets for new business development.

Key Responsibilities: 

Sales Activities

  • Managing sales and product activities for Coating, Inks and Construction Industries
  • Planning, monitoring and achievement of own sales targets
  • Achieving annual sales targets focusing on net profit
  • Implementing strategies for profitable sales growth and ensuring customers understand company’s payment and stock policies
  • Visiting customers regularly including accurate and visible reporting on all sales activities in the customer management system
  • Managing and developing customers both commercially and technically through regular contact
  • Keeping close contact and strengthens good relationship with strategic clients as well as suppliers.

New Business Development

  • Extending the portfolio and setting targets for new business development
  • Managing and developing customers both commercially and technically through regular contact
  • Monitoring market developments; regulations and implementation of market-oriented strategies
  • Keep up with changes and updates in the product portfolio and in the market
  • Identify and report potential sales growth opportunities and factors which could influence the Company’s local marketing plans and objectives.
  • Establish strong business relationships with existing customer base and develop value relationships with potential clients to expand business.

Sales Admin Operations

  • Providing technical and commercial support to customers (including payments)
  • Managing supplier relations (pricing, market feedbacks, reporting, project updates etc.)

Oualifications: 

  • University degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related fields
  • Average 10 years’ experience in the chemical distribution business
  • Preferably product, technical and market knowledge of coatings, inks, textile chemicals and, construction industry
  • Proven track record as a growth-oriented sales professional
  • Good interpersonal and coordination skills and customer oriented
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English
  • The ability to negotiate prices and contracts
  • Flexibility in style: able to operate at 30,000 ft and 3 ft
  • High level of honesty, integrity, commitment, and responsibility
  • No travel restrictions.

Our Client is an international firm in building materials industry manufacturing catalysts, adhesives and chemicals mainly for building industries in international market. For more than 20 years of experience with its plants in Turkey, the company has been providing innovative products, technologies, and services that enhance the products and processes of our customer partners around the world.

Currently, we are in search of Accounting&Reporting Chief who will take active role in all financial, budgeting, accounting and reporting activities, reporting to Finance and Accounting Manager.

Main responsibilities:

  • Coordination and preparation of timely and accurate financial statements and other reports to show the financial results of the company’s operations to meet internal and external requirements
  • Ensuring financial transactions of the company are properly recorded, controlled, filed, and reported in compliance with legal regulations
  • Driving process and system improvements to streamline and create efficiencies
  • Responsibility for driving reporting across Accounts Payable and Receivable, cash flow and budget
  • Assisting on tax declarations
  • Month-end trial balance and financial statements control
  • Designing accounting processes to increase the efficiency
  • Execution of accounting process
  • Reporting of the financial results and discussing the status of reports
  • Supporting invoicing, payment, and collection process
  • Ensure high quality documentation of accounting process.

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of accounting experience developed within an accounting firm plus a small to mid-size manufacturing company
  • Knowledge and experience in General Accounting, Cost Accounting, Uniform Chart of Accounts, Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Declarations and Tax Legislation
  • Experience in IFRS reporting and knowledge of an ERP system preferred
  • Strong educational background with a university degree in Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • A proven track record of working in complex structures
  • Demonstrated success in relationship building and contract management
  • Self-starter and change agent with sky-high levels of personal energy, drive, and enthusiasm
  • A strong work ethic and a desire to commit to and deliver results, taking tough decisions where necessary
  • A passion for continuous improvement and the ability to review and identify issues and
  • opportunities in business processes and systems
  • Excellent analytical skills, able to deep dive into details and to solve problems
  • Flexibility in thinking and pragmatic problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Excellent use of MS Office
  • Resides or willing to work/relocate in İzmir-Tire.
